strategic

Dear Mendon-Upton School Community,

The Mendon-Upton Regional School District will commence a new strategic planning process starting later this month. Similar to the result from the last strategic planning process, the final plan will serve as a blueprint for all initiatives, priorities, and budgeting over the next five years.  Most importantly, this plan will continue to strive to bring a bold vision about learning in a modern context and giving our students what they really need to be successful in an ever-changing world. As we continue to bring our mission to "empowering all learners to thrive" we will evaluate our progress so far, initiate new objectives to further bring our mission to life, and develop steps to foster the Portrait of a Learner competencies for all our learners.

We will be looking for the voices of all stakeholders- staff, students, parents, administrators, and community members- to contribute to this important process through focus groups, survey feedback, and/or serving on the Strategic Planning Committee. If you are interested in engaging in this process, please begin by filling out the below form at your earliest convenience.

Strategic Planning Committee

The Strategic Planning Committees will take place on Mondays from 4:00-6:00pm with the first meeting taking place on January 31st  and the schedule will take us through the end of the year.  The Planning Team will be a group of no more than 30 members representing all stakeholder groups.  The selected team members will be notified next week.  Overall feedback to support the team's work will come from focus groups, surveys, district review reports, data analysis and the interest/feedback forms above.

Focus Group Schedule

We will be holding visioning stakeholder groups over the course of the next month according to the following schedule.  Please save the date to participate in the following focus groups.  As we get closer to the meeting dates, we will include sign-ups in the schedule document so we know how many we can anticipate attending.

We look forward to hearing from the community as we move forward with this work.

Warm regards,

Maureen Cohen
