We’re excited to share the exciting news that our Athletic Director, Chris Schmidt has been named the Massachusetts Athletic Director of the Year! We’re fortunate to have a front row seat to see the way Chris supports coaches and players, builds the culture around athletics, develops leadership, and so much more. He’s also made a huge impact beyond Nipmuc by serving as an MIAA district chairperson and the president of our league. He also served as the leader of the development of the Central Massachusetts Athletic Conference, a merger of five leagues and 34 schools in order to ensure competitive balance and equitable opportunities for schools across our region. Congratulations to Chris!

On behalf of the Nipmuc Funds 4 Cancer Club, we wanted to share that the annual Winter Wonderland event was a success and we appreciate everyone that came out to support this event for a great cause. Special shout-out to Memorial Elementary School for hosting us last minute!
The event helped us raise $1,257 for the Riley Rocks Memorial Foundation to help children impacted by pediatric cancer. #nipmucpride

Koda is an "official" member of the Nipmuc staff now that his ID has arrived. How lucky are we to get to watch how fast he is growing and how much he is loved throughout the community! Today we got to see his new chair trick of sitting and then figuring out the best way down! #nipmucpride

For those families that may have younger siblings or family members in our district we will be hosting our annual Nipmuc Showcase this Wednesday, December 3 from 6:30pm - 8:00pm.

This event is open to all MURSD students and families in Grades 6-8. We are looking forward to seeing you at this event where younger students can get a chance to see all that Nipmuc has to offer as they near their high school chapter. We look forward to seeing you!

FAST is underway, the senior class have made their grand entrance and the teacher wearing the turkey costume was revealed (Mr. Wood). This annual tradition of faculty and students together is always one of the most memorable events of the year. #nipmucpride

Tomorrow is an exciting day at Nipmuc as it is our annual FAST event (Faculty and Students Together)and another early release day with a 10:45am dismissal. There will be no school on Thursday and Friday this week for Thanksgiving recess. #nipmucpride

Save the date for the Nipmuc Funds 4 Cancer 2nd Annual Winter Wonderland event on Saturday, December 13 being held here at Nipmuc Regional High School from 10:00AM-12:30PM.

They will have professional pictures with Elsa, Olaf, Repunzel, and others, hair tinsel, arts and crafts, face paint, and more! This is a free community event, donations are welcome, and proceeds will go to the Riley Rocks Memorial Foundation to help those impacted by pediatric cancer. There will be 50 vendors that will be in attendance, a bake sale, raffles and more. Attention all travelers!! Nipmuc will be traveling to Greece during April vacation in 2027. Join us while we dive into the history of Athens and Greek culture and then set sail to cruise the Aegean sea and island hop around the Greek Isles. All students who attend Nipmuc are eligible to travel with us.

There will be two informational meetings for this trip with the first being TONIGHT:
Monday, November 10th at 7pm on Zoom (link included in the weekly newsletter)
Thursday, November 13th at 7pm in room 239 at Nipmuc

Winter sports registration is open for all our winter sports. Winter tryouts begin Monday, December 1 and registration closes Tuesday, November 25. Don't miss out!

The following sports are co-op sports through neighboring districts:

- Boys and Girls Swimming (Grafton) (Pre-season Swim & Dive meeting at Grafton High School on Wednesday, November 13th at 4:30 p.m.)
- Boys and Girls Wrestling (Northbridge) (This meeting will take place on Monday at 6pm at Northbridge HS)

Picture retake day will take place tomorrow. This will be for any student that was absent back in September or for those students who paid for a portrait package and would like the picture retaken.

If you are having your picture retaken please plan to return your original package to the photographer tomorrow. If you would like to purchase a picture package and you were absent on the original picture day please stop by the main office to pick up an order form.
