Congratulations to the Nipmuc DECA program on all of their success at the State Career Development Conference in Boston this weekend. Nipmuc DECA took 60 students to compete against more than 4,000 others in role plays and projects, focusing on marketing, management, hospitality, and finance. Nipmuc DECA is proud to announce that 27 students qualified for the final round of competition, with 21 becoming state champions. #nipmucpride

There is no school tomorrow for students as it is a full day teacher professional development day.

This past weekend, Nipmuc’s Academic Decathlon Team led by Mr. Borja competed at the State Championship at MIT where they placed second place overall in their first year competing.

The Nipmuc Funds 4 Cancer and American Red Cross Club are teaming up again for a Blood Drive for the Boston Children's Hospital and wanted to share the sign up flyer below. This is open to the public. We would love to fill all of the slots and make a big impact. #nipmucpride

Congratulations to Dash Correia and Kayden McKibben. Over the February break, both became individual state champions. Kayden won the Division 1 100 meter freestyle and Dash won the Weight Throw at the MIAA Meet of Champions. Way to go Dash and Kayden! #nipmucpride

The Nipmuc Drama Guild has been hard at work as they prepare to present Bye Bye Birdie this weekend with the opening night on Friday, February 6 beginning at 7pm in the Nipmuc Auditorium. You can check out all the showtimes in the below flyer. We hope to see you there! #nipmucpride

This week during National School Counseling Week we wanted to thank the amazing school counseling team here at Nipmuc for their dedication to our students and the community. We feel fortunate to have this wonderful team and thank them for all they do every day. #nipmucpride

The Nipmuc Boys and Girls Basketball teams are proud to take part in the Fight Like a Kid Games, organized by Team Ava to support children battling cancer. Join the boys at home on January 20th 5/6:30 PM and girls at Auburn High School on February 6th 5/6:30 PM to support this mission.

This season, the Fight Like a Kid childhood cancer awareness game is to support Gretel, a 15-year-old from Sutton bravely battling AML. These games remind us that sports have the power to unite, give back, and turn a night in the gym into something meaningful. Every cheer, every person in the stands, and every act of support helps show Gretel and her family just how strong this community truly is.

We wanted to remind you that this Friday is an early release day for students and there is no school on Monday.

Term 2 ends next week. Students should be working with their teachers to make sure all assignments are turned in and that they finish the end of the term strong.

Those first days back from a long vacation can feel daunting so we are hosting a “Welcome Back Week” with some fun activities for each day this week to help students get back into a routine. We’re excited to share the exciting news that our Athletic Director, Chris Schmidt has been named the Massachusetts Athletic Director of the Year! We’re fortunate to have a front row seat to see the way Chris supports coaches and players, builds the culture around athletics, develops leadership, and so much more. He’s also made a huge impact beyond Nipmuc by serving as an MIAA district chairperson and the president of our league. He also served as the leader of the development of the Central Massachusetts Athletic Conference, a merger of five leagues and 34 schools in order to ensure competitive balance and equitable opportunities for schools across our region. Congratulations to Chris!

On behalf of the Nipmuc Funds 4 Cancer Club, we wanted to share that the annual Winter Wonderland event was a success and we appreciate everyone that came out to support this event for a great cause. Special shout-out to Memorial Elementary School for hosting us last minute!
The event helped us raise $1,257 for the Riley Rocks Memorial Foundation to help children impacted by pediatric cancer. #nipmucpride
