The MURSD FY2027 Budget will be presented at town meetings. In order for the budget to be approved, it would need to be approved at both town meetings and ballot votes.

This is one example how MURSD builds a strong community and the next leaders of our schools. Thank you to all of our teachers who opened their classrooms this week for our Nipmuc Career Day.

Second graders in Mrs. Bourassa’s class are learning how to organize informational paragraphs as they draft their animal research projects.

One of our strategic priorities is focused on developing deeper learning experiences for our students. In MURSD, deeper learning encourages authenticity, agency, reflection, and collaboration. At Miscoe Hill Middle School, you see this in action with a recent Project-Based Learning experience modeled after Shark Tank, where students presented their business model to audience on their ideas, which incorporated the math standards and practices.

Engineers from Boston Dynamics visited the school on March 6, giving students in the Mendon-Upton Regional School District an up-close look at advanced robotics and the careers behind the technology.

Congratulations to this year's cohort of inductees into the prestigious National Honor Society! These students have demonstrated the four pillars of N.H.S. in Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character.

Congratulations to Nipmuc Senior Liam Downing for being selected as the Worcester County Superintendent Association Scholar (WCSA) for this year. He was honored along with other scholars from across the county at an event at the College of Holy Cross to celebrate all of his accomplishments. Congrats Liam!

There will be no school in the Mendon-Upton Regional School District on Tuesday, February 24th to allow for continued clean-up of the roadways by our DPW and Highway Departments. Thank you to our public safety crews who have been working around the clock. Stay safe, everyone!

The Mendon-Upton Regional School District will have a two-hour delay on Tuesday, January 27th. There will be no AM Preschool.

We’re excited to share the exciting news that our Athletic Director, Chris Schmidt has been named the Massachusetts Athletic Director of the Year! We’re fortunate to have a front row seat to see the way Chris supports coaches and players, builds the culture around athletics, develops leadership, and so much more. He’s also made a huge impact beyond Nipmuc by serving as an MIAA district chairperson and the president of our league. He also served as the leader of the development of the Central Massachusetts Athletic Conference, a merger of five leagues and 34 schools in order to ensure competitive balance and equitable opportunities for schools across our region. Congratulations to Chris!
