On Thursday, May 9th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm MURSD will be hosting our annual Multicultural Night at Nipmuc Regional High School. We invite you to join in on the fun celebration of our community's diversity with student performances, culture-themed activities, food trucks and more!
The FY2025 Open Budget Hearing will be held Monday, March 18th at 7pm in the Nipmuc Auditorium. This is an in-person event and not a hybrid meeting. It will be streamed live to the district YouTube account.

We are watching the weather forecast for tomorrow, Monday, January 29th. Our towns will be getting a mix of snow and rain overnight and there is uncertainty in the forecast regarding accumulation in our area due to marginal temperatures and rain. We will receive an update in the early morning regarding the status of the roads. We currently plan to have school, but please be prepared for the possibility of a delay if things change overnight. The Mendon-Upton Regional School District will be closed, Tuesday, January 16th.
We are tracking the weather forecast for tomorrow, Tuesday, 1/16/24. The forecast is calling for 3-4 inches of snow over a 12 hour window and a mix of snow/sleet/rain at points in the day. The towns will be treating the roads overnight and I will receive updates from them in the early morning regarding the status of the roads. As of this evening, we anticipate having a regular school day, but recommend being prepared for any possibilities with our New England weather these days. Take care and have a good night.
Due to some of our major roads that have flooding, we will need to have a two-hour delay in the Mendon-Upton Regional School District today, January 10th. There will be no AM PreK.
We will be keeping an eye on the changing weather conditions over night and into the early morning. The forecast is calling for heavy rain, accompanied by a flood watch and a wind advisory. It is a quick moving system moving out by 5am and we are hoping potential power outages will not impact schools. We anticipate having a regular school day, but recommend being prepared for a delay or cancellation just in case we are impacted. Have a good night.
We hope everyone had a nice weekend and enjoyed our first snow of the year. Thanks to the efforts by our Mendon and Upton DPW and our MURSD custodial staff the Mendon-Upton Regional School District will be ready to open on time tomorrow January 8th. If we receive new information on the weather and road conditions, we will communicate in the early morning. Please take care in the morning commutes.

Good morning--Thanks to the hard work of many, all of our schools are open today, Tuesday, December 19th, in the Mendon-Upton Regional School District. There are still some roads closed in both towns, so we anticipate impact on some of the bus route times.
Please be advised you will not be able to access the School Committee meeting this evening through Zoom due to technical issues.
I hope this finds you and your family safe as I know many are still without power. Currently, power has not yet been restored to Miscoe Hill Middle School. We will send an update by 6:15am tomorrow morning to let you know regarding the status of school.
Due to additional school power outages and trees blocking roads, we will need to close Memorial, Clough, and Miscoe Hill Middle School today. Buses will be returning students home that were just picked up for Memorial and Clough. The situation as rapidly changed in the last 30 minutes.
We will be in touch regarding Nipmuc's situation.
Due to the high wind conditions, downed trees are blocking Mendon Street and the power is out at Miscoe Hill Middle School. National Grid has been contacted and we are waiting on a restoration time. Therefore, we will have a two hour delay for Miscoe Hill Middle School only. All other schools have a normal schedule.
Please note: Bus routes have been impacted for all schools due to downed trees in multiple areas of both towns.
Congratulations to the Nipmuc seniors who qualified for the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship based on their performance on the MCAS testing. This scholarship is good for up to 4 years upon their acceptance to a participating Massachusetts public institution of higher education.
It will be a fun night when Mendon-Upton Regional Schools show up at the Worcester Railers game with our band, chorus, and students.
